Terms of Use

Last updated: July 25, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WhereHouse (the "Service"), available worldwide. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Your account

You sign in to WhereHouse using a third-party provider (currently Google, with Apple planned). You are responsible for maintaining the security of that third-party account and for all activity that occurs under your WhereHouse account. Notify us promptly at the email below if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content

You retain full ownership of everything you enter into the Service — your sites, storage locations, categories, items, and photos ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We do not use Your Content for any other purpose, and we do not claim ownership over it.

You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it. Don't upload anything illegal, infringing, or that violates someone else's rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.

Subscriptions and billing

WhereHouse is currently free to use. We may introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If we do, before you're charged we will clearly disclose the price, billing frequency, and how to cancel. Paid subscriptions, once introduced, will typically renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand, and fees are generally non-refundable for partial periods except where required by law. These specific billing terms will be finalized and presented to you at the time paid plans launch, and nothing in this section obligates you to pay anything today.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Your Content will never be lost — please keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhereHouse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This does not deprive you of any consumer protections you're entitled to under the mandatory laws of the country in which you reside, which continue to apply regardless of this clause.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
